Projects / Achievements

Here are some of the projects that I have completed that I would like to highlight. My skills in web development, graphics, and hobby game development are featured here. Click on a project to view more about it. There you can see what skills I used to build that project, view source code, and try out a live demo for yourself.

Experience

Thrivent Financial Frontend Developer (Summer 2022)

Worked as a frontend intern for Thrivent’s unauthenticated experience team. Using agile with scrum development I was able to complete over 20 stories for the team. Starting off with accessibility stories, I quickly advanced onto helping the team develop new features and components for the project. A large part of role was coordination with other teams such as design, content, and backend. My three month long internship got extended by a few weeks so I could stay on to help the team, and I gained great technical experience from this role.

Computer Science Teaching Assistant (Spring 2021 - Present)

Worked closely with the professor to develop laboratory activities, and projects. Helped students in office hours learn difficult subjects that were taught in lecture. I gained skills in working with others, leadership and a better understanding of the subject material. The class was CSCI 2021 Machine Architecture and Organization.

Education & Coursework

These are courses I have completed in peruse of my undergraduate degree in computer science at the University of Minnesota.

Bachelor of Science in Computer Science
Minor in Mathematics

College of Science and Engineering, University of Minnesota Twin Cities

Graduated in 2023

GPA: 3.58 / 4.00

CSCI 5801 Software Engineering

I had the opportunity to collaborate with a team on a software project that adhered to fundamental software engineering principles. Throughout the course, I gained valuable knowledge in software engineering requirements, design, and development techniques. Working with my team, I learned how to apply these principles in a real-world project and contributed to all aspects of the development process. From requirements gathering and analysis to design and implementation, I was able to apply what I learned in the classroom to a practical setting. Through this experience, I developed strong teamwork and communication skills and gained a deeper understanding of software engineering practices.

CSCI 5117 Developing the Interactive Web

I collaborated with a team of five to develop two web projects: Quotagram, a social media platform, and a clothing tracker app. Through these projects, I gained proficiency in modern web stacks such as React, Flask, and Vue, and built both front-end and back-end systems from scratch. I also managed DevOps tasks using platforms like Render.com, Firebase, and Azure to deploy, manage, and monitor web applications in production environments. These experiences provided me with hands-on experience in full-stack web development and equipped me with valuable skills in building complex web applications.
